Today recipe is with tuna fish. I am a pesco-vegetarian, and fish is often in my weekly meals and mainly tuna fish. Recently was experimenting with making different types of patties, and the tuna fish one is my favourite 🙂
Here is the recipe :
Time to cook: 50 min Portions : 16-20
Ingredients:
- 4×145 gr cans of tuna fish
- 1 medium onion
- 1 medium carrot
- 2 eggs
- 3 tbsp. of oats
- 3 tbsp. of olive oil for frying
- pinch of salt
- pinch of black paper
Optional Ingredients :
- 1/2 bell pepper
- Drain the tuna from the cans and put it in a big bow to mix all ingredients.
- Chop the onion, carrots and pepper at very small pieces; you can use an electric chopper if you want.
- Add the chopped veggies to the tuna and mix well.
- Add the eggs.
- Add the salt and black pepper and mix well.
- With your hands form small round patties, one is approximately one full spoon.
- “Fry” them in a medium to the high-temperature pan. I don’t like deep fry, so I use just a little bit of oil and bake them on the pan, but if you wish, you can deep fry them.
- Serve them with salad or you can make burgers.
