Happy Sunday 🙂
Lately, I have been experimenting with creating pizza-inspired meals from a variety of ingredients. I have tried different types of crusts and this is one of my attempts to prepare crust margarita pizza. I mean inspired by the pizza it is not in any case A pizza 🙂 but if you try it let me know.
Servings: 8
Time to prepare: 15 min
Time to cook: 30-40 min

Ingredients:
- 200-300 gr boiled rice
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. black pepper
- 4 tbsp. olive oil or grape oil
- 1 medium onion
- 1 can tomato
- 250 cheddar cheese
- parsley
- basil
How to:
- Boil rice as usual.
- In a medium bowl place the cooled boiled rice, egg, half of the salt and black pepper, and 2 tbsp. Oil and mix very well.
- Place the mixture over an oiled baking tray.
- Bake on medium heat for about 20 min.
- Meanwhile, prepare the tomato sauce.
- Cut the onion and parsley.
- Saute the onion in a preheated pan with oil.
- After 3- 5 min add the tomatoe sauce and leave for another 5 -7 minutes.
- Add the rest of the salt and black pepper and additional spices if you want.
- Take aside and put the parsley.
- When you notice that the rice starts to have a crust take it out and cover it with the tomato sauce.
- Put back in the oven for another 7-10 minutes.
- Add the cheddar or cheeses of your choice and put back for another 5 -7 minutes.
- Take out and leave to chill out.
- Serve and enjoy 🙂
! You can make the crust as tick or thin as you like. The first time I cooked I preperaed more thik which I prefered but second time as showne in the picture was more thick which made it more like a pie rather than a pizza but both are delicious and a different type of rice meal 🙂
