This recipe is from when my mum visited me last spring. It was a lot of cooking from her side and this one was a special request. In Bulgaria it is very typical to eat bready meals, we have so many variations with cheese and eggs and other veggies. They are eaten for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.
This recipe is simple and very tasty 🙂 But it does take time and manual labor.
Servings: 8- 12
Time to prepare: 30 min
Time to cook: 30 min

Ingredients:
- 300 -500 flour (for soft dough
- 1 cup of water
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 tbsp. vinegar or lemon juice
- 400 gr. cheese
- 200 ml oil
How To:
- In a medium bowl place the water, salt, and vinegar and mix well.
- Spon by spoon add the flour and constantly mix while adding it.
- When the dough becomes more firm start using your hands to mix it well. You should receive soft dough.
- Leave it for at least one hour and if you have the chance for one night.
- After that split the dough into equal parts – approximately 12.
- On an oiled surface counter start pulling each piece in the form of a circle.
- When is the size of a medium plate place it in an oiled baking tray.
- After placing it inside carefully pull the ends to the walls of the baking tray, and push them so they can stick to the walls. This is why you will need to oil the baking tray very well.
- Next piece of dough is prepared the same way – pulled on the oil surface until is big enough and placed over the first crust. Pull and push its ends to one of the first crusts.
- There is no need to push the crust itself somewhere in the middle even if there is air left after placing one of the crust pieces.
- After the second dough piece/crust, you place a piece of cheese.
- You keep going until you finish all the crusts.
- Place cheese after each two crusts.
- Bake in preheated oven at 180 degrees.
- After baking leave to cool down and serve as it is for Breakfast or afternoon snack.

Enjoy 🙂
