Hello Everyone and Happy ST. Patrick Day 🙂
For the last couple of weeks I have prepared this pesto with crackers quite a lot. Well my mum did- I just ate it most of the time. We started preparing it by accident, with crackers looking to add something to them. Our first attempt was more of a sauce, more liquid, and slowly we started improving the texture and quantities.
You can make it in a minutes, it is very tasty, goes with everything and is so refreshing.
Servings: 200 gr.
Time To Prepare: 5-7 min

Ingredients:
- 70 gr. Nettle
- 1/2 (1 tsp) Mustered seeds
- 5 gr. flax seeds
- 50-70 gr. sunflower seeds
- 40 gr. sesame seeds
- 5 gr. salt
- 200 ml. water
- 1 tbsp. lemon
How to:
- In a top place water so it can cover the nettle.
- After it start boiling place the nettle and wait for a minute or so and take away.
- Place all ingredients in a blender and pulse a few times until homogenous mixture.
- It is great for Crakers, fish and meat 🙂
A few additional notes:
If you dont have nettle you can try with spinach or other green leaves. In this case you dont need to blanche them.
The muster seeds are quite strong, so I will recommend to try first with 1/2 tsp. taste it and see how you will like the taste if is not so strong for you, add another 1/2 tsp. or in total should be 1 tsp.
If you want very thick add more sunflower seeds 😉
And as I dont use too much salt this quantity is good for me but you can add more to make it for your taste.

Here the homemade Crakers were already finished so I tried it with rice Crakers still tasty 🙂
Enjoy 🙂
