Aquafaba Oats

I wanted to try aquafaba for probably a year but somehow was leaving it for later. The name itself sounds so interesting and is something very simple.

For someone who doesn’t know and wondering as I was the first time I heard, this is made from leftover chickpeas water. You just whipped with hand mixer as you would do a egg whites and voilà you have vegan alternative to meringue mixture.

My first time trying to prepare it wasn’t so successful as I did it with a blender and it was more liquidity texture. So wondering how to use it in another way decided to put some peanut butter and collagen powder to make something like a mouse. I like the taste but was still quite liquid for a mouse and I cross my mind to try and make overnight oats 🙂 So added some oats and chia and this was my breakfast for next two days 🙂

Servings: 2
Time to Prepare: 5-7 min

Ingredients:
  • 150 chickpeas water
  • 1 scoop protein powder
  • 1 scoop collagen powder
  • 6 tbs. rolled oats
  • 1 banana
  • 1 tbs. peanut butter
  • chia seeds

How to:
  1. Drain one can pf chickpeas ( it is the easier and fastest way, you can boil chick peace and you can use the leftover water from that).
  2. In a blender pulse a few time until you have foam mixture.
  3. Add the powders and pulse again.
  4. Pour in a small containers and add half bananas to both portions and the oats.
  5. Leave in the fridge overnight.
  6. Enjoy.
Garnish:
  • add the other half of the bananas and peanut butter
